Content Policy

1. Where this policy applies

This policy applies to profiles, show listings, flyers, images, text, links, messages, uploads, contact lists, social posts, and any other material created, stored, previewed, or distributed through ShowSignal.

2. Creative expression is welcome

ShowSignal supports original, tribute, cover, rock, metal, hardcore, hip-hop, rap, country, electronic, comedy, and other lawful entertainment. Dark, horror, fantasy, theatrical, and intense artwork may be allowed when it promotes a legitimate event and does not cross the prohibited-content boundaries below.

3. Nudity and adult promotion are prohibited

Do not upload or distribute nudity, pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexual services, fetish content, or content primarily intended for sexual arousal. ShowSignal may allow non-explicit artistic imagery, ordinary performance attire, and stylized or illustrated anatomy when context and presentation are not sexually explicit.

ShowSignal may not be used to advertise, link to, recruit for, or promote OnlyFans or any other adult-content account, service, subscription, or business. Cropped, blurred, censored, linked, or coded adult promotion is still prohibited.

4. Graphic and violent artwork

Fictional, illustrated, theatrical, or genre-appropriate horror imagery may be allowed, including skulls, monsters, stage blood, and dark fantasy. Real-world gore, graphic injury, cruelty, execution imagery, or content celebrating actual violence may be restricted or removed. Threats, instructions to harm others, and promotion of violent criminal organizations are prohibited.

5. Harassment, hate, and exploitation

Do not threaten, stalk, bully, shame, dox, sexually harass, or encourage coordinated abuse. Content that attacks or dehumanizes people based on protected characteristics is prohibited. Content exploiting minors, sexualizing minors, grooming, trafficking, or requesting inappropriate contact with minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

6. Illegal and dangerous activity

Do not use ShowSignal to facilitate fraud, theft, weapons trafficking, illegal drug sales, human trafficking, malicious hacking, evasion of law enforcement, or other illegal activity. Lawful event references to alcohol or regulated products must comply with age, advertising, and local requirements.

7. Authenticity and intellectual property

Do not impersonate artists, venues, promoters, fans, ShowSignal personnel, or other organizations. Do not upload flyers, logos, photographs, recordings, trademarks, or other material unless you created it or have permission to use it. Misleading event details, fabricated affiliations, counterfeit tickets, phishing, and deceptive links are prohibited.

8. Messaging and contact lists

Purchased, scraped, harvested, guessed, or stolen email addresses and phone numbers are prohibited. Do not message anyone who has not provided the consent required for that communication, who has opted out, or whose consent cannot be documented. Every campaign must accurately identify the responsible sender and provide required opt-out methods. Repeated complaints, bounces, blocked messages, or abnormal list activity may trigger review.

9. Spam and manipulation

Do not send repetitive, irrelevant, deceptive, or excessive messages; manipulate engagement; evade rate limits; create fake accounts; use misleading subject lines; or redirect fans to malicious, unrelated, or deceptive destinations.

10. Enforcement

Depending on severity, history, risk, and context, ShowSignal may warn the user, limit distribution, remove content, pause a campaign, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate access. Severe matters may be acted on immediately. Multiple violations may result in suspension even when individual violations would otherwise receive a warning.

11. Reports and appeals

Report suspected violations to support@getshowsignal.com with the event, account, message, or link involved and a clear explanation. To appeal a moderation decision, use the subject “Content Policy Appeal” and explain why the decision should be reconsidered. We may request additional information and will review appeals in context.

12. Policy changes

We may refine these standards as the beta grows, new risks emerge, or laws and delivery-platform requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
